We Got A Grant!!!
My good friend, Cate Clifford and I applied for a grant from the Connecticut Historical Society entitled, “Southern New England Apprenticeship Program: Passing on traditional knowledge” in which I am the Mentor and Cate is the Apprentice.
I am very pleased to announce that we were informed on August 20 that we received a grant in the sum of $3500! This is such wonderful news and Cate and I are looking forward to the work we will be doing studying traditional ballads and story-songs from the many collections in which they can be found. The Southern New England Apprenticeship Program in traditional arts is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts and supported by the Connecticut Historical Society and the Mass Cultural Council.
