Bob Dylan: Nobel Laureate
Not that my opinion matters. Bob Dylan deserves the Nobel. He has studied the tradition. He used the Big Ballads as inspiration. He studied the old blues singers. He was a student of folklore. His lyrics are/were pure poetry and many have become timeless. The Swedish Academy cited Dylan for “having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.” and I agree. Bob Dylan deserves the 2016 Nobel Prize for Literature
