“Women and the Sea” Program, Peterborough, NH June 1, 2019
Cross-dressing? Heroic young girls saving manly men on storm-tossed seas? Beautiful women luring unsuspecting sailors to their doom?
All of these subjects and more will be the focus of my performance this Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Monadnock Center for History and Culture in Peterborough, NH. This is part of the Music in Bass Hall Concert series and we’ll be starting at 7:30 pm.
“Women and the Sea” is a program that focuses on women’s roles in maritime songs that offers an engaging and informative look at the often overlooked and varied roles and experiences of women in Maritime songs and ballads.
