So…Now What?
I just saw that my last post was February 1. Time seems to run by at the speed of light. I got back a week and a half ago from a mini-tour in Northern California with guitarist/songwriter/musician Brooks Williams. I arrived in Sacramento on February 24 late due to my flight being delayed in Denver. Picked up the rental car which had smelled like someone sprayed an entire can of Glade in it. It wasn’t until the next day that I realised that someone had smoked in the car. Yuk. I was really dumb and not wanting to deal with the hassle of having to turn in the car and get a new one, decided to just put up with it. I won’t be going that route next time.
I love traveling and performing with other musicians. So far my roster has consisted of John Roberts, Bill Cooley, and now Brooks. I am a person who is constantly looking for feedback on my music and just the fact that these musicians are willing to work with me (or put up with me?) has given me a new-found confidence that I must be doing something right with my music.
I am very fortunate to be doing what I love to do.
Here is a streaming sample of John Roberts and I performing a hymn from the Helen Hartness Flanders Collection. The song is “Fearless In the Fire” from my 2005 recording “Dad’s Dinner Pail and Other Songs From the Helen Hartness Flanders Collection”
